Netball England needed a video series that would make grassroots netball feel exciting, accessible, and worth turning up for. The campaign targeted lapsed players and complete beginners across the North East, so the tone had to be welcoming without being patronising.
We filmed across five locations over two weeks — from community leisure centres to outdoor courts — featuring real players, coaches, and club organisers. No actors, no scripts. We asked people why they play and let their answers shape each film. The edit mixed match footage with behind-the-scenes moments to show that netball is as much about the people as the sport.
The series launched across Netball England’s digital channels and was picked up by several regional sports partnerships for their own outreach. The campaign contributed to a measurable increase in sign-ups across Back to Netball sessions in the region.
