The Blaydon fireworks display is one of the biggest community events in the North East, drawing thousands of people to the riverside every November. The organisers wanted cinematic coverage that could be used for promotion the following year and shared across social media in the days after the event.
We combined ground-level camera work with licensed drone footage to capture the full scale of the display. Slow-motion sequences of the fireworks were intercut with crowd reactions, fairground rides, and the build-up as families arrived in the dark. The drone gave us sweeping overhead shots of the crowd and the Tyne valley lit up by the pyrotechnics.
The final film was delivered in two versions — a 90-second social cut optimised for Instagram and Facebook, and a longer three-minute version for the event website. Both were delivered within 48 hours of the event and were shared widely across community groups and local news pages.
