Healey Barn

A beautifully restored barn set in the Northumberland countryside. Healey Barn combines rustic charm with modern elegance — exposed stone walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a wildflower meadow for outdoor ceremonies. One of the North East's most popular wedding venues.

Venue Features

  • • Separate ceremony and reception spaces
  • • Floor-to-ceiling windows for natural light
  • • Wildflower meadow for outdoor ceremonies
  • • Fairy-lit barn reception area
  • • Bridal preparation rooms on site
  • • Ample parking and grounds

Filming Tips

  • • The ceremony room has incredible natural light — best between 1-4pm
  • • Get the wildflower meadow shots during golden hour (1 hour before sunset)
  • • The fairy lights in the barn look best on camera once natural light fades
  • • Wind can affect audio for outdoor ceremonies — always have a backup mic
  • • The stone archway makes a perfect frame for couple portraits

Our experience filming at Healey Barn

We’ve covered multiple weddings at Healey Barn and it’s consistently one of our favourite venues to film. The combination of natural light, rustic textures, and beautiful grounds gives us incredible footage every time.

Best filming spots

The ceremony room is flooded with natural light from the large windows, making it one of the easiest ceremony spaces to film in the region. No additional lighting needed for daytime ceremonies.

The wildflower meadow between the ceremony room and reception barn is perfect for couple portraits during the drinks reception. We typically shoot here during the transition while guests move between spaces.

Once the fairy lights come on in the reception barn, the atmosphere completely changes. This is where we capture the speeches and first dance — the warm, intimate lighting creates a cinematic feel without any additional setup.
